Obituary of Margaret BARRY

Margaret Jean passed away suddenly on February 25, 2011 at the age of 74. Born in Lacombe, Alberta, she moved to Calgary in 1944, where she resided for the rest of her life. She began her working career as an assistant in the Radio and early television industry, later moving to several positions with Oil and Gas Companies in Calgary. She finished her working career with the Calgary Interfaith Society. Margaret enjoyed the weekends at Sylvan Lake, her summer vacations in Coeur d'Alene and Spokane, and especially her several trips to Hawaii. In retirement she enjoyed her womens group and her tai chi classes at the Triwood Community Center. She also enjoyed the many day trips she and Bob took in and about Southern Alberta and B.C. Margaret is survived by her husband of 55years, Robert (Bob); brother Gordon (Katherine) Douglas; her children Brent (Brenda), Kevin (Wayne), Patricia (Gavin) Fick; her grandchildren Janet, Curtis, Brandon, Carson and Leah, and great-granddaughters Kathryn and Maggie. She was pre-deceased by her son Douglas.
