Janina Chomiak passed away peacefully on December 18, 2010 at the age of 82 years.
Janina was born in Gostyczyn, Poland on November 5, 1928. She immigrated to Calgary with her husband Wladyslaw in the spring of 1973.
She will greatly missed by her sons Leszek (Irena) and Andrzej (Donna); daughter-in-law Ania in Poland; grandchildren: Tomasz (Maria), Sylvia (Peter), and Mark (Stefanie); great-grandsons Matthew and Justin; much beloved family in Calgary and Poland; and many dear friends. Janina was predeceased by her husband in 1993 and son Grzegorz in 2008.
Relatives and friends were invited to Prayers and Tributes at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME, 1708 16th Avenue N.W. (across from the North Hill Shopping Centre, Calgary) Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass was celebrated at Our Lady Queen of Peace (Polish) Catholic Church (2111 Uxbridge Drive N.W.) on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service followed in St. Josephs Section at Queens Park Cemetery.
