Doreen Margaret Debnam of Calgary passed away peacefully in her family home on Thursday, June 30, 2011. Doreen was born in Calgary on April 16, 1927, and will be forever remembered by all her family and friends for her kindness and generosity. She will be dearly missed by her two daughters, Connie and Bonnie, her three sons, Doug (Jody), Ross (Sylvia) and Russ; her eleven grandchildren, Holly, Sherry (Curtis), Scott (Joanne), Cale (Tamara), Stacy (Tyler), Steven, Travis (Agata), Lindsey, Sandra (Wayne), Tyler (Haley) and Mike; and her five great-grandchildren, Keaton, Hudson, Kate, Beckett and Chase. Doreen is survived by her brother Carl (Mary). She was predeceased by Doug, her loving husband of fifty-five years, her son, Bruce (Lorraine) and daughter, Barbara.
In honour of Doreens wishes, a funeral service will not be held, and a private family gathering will celebrate her life. Flowers are gratefully declined; however, if friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Alberta Childrens Hospital Foundation, 2888 Shaganappi Trail N.W., Calgary, AB T3B 6A8, Telephone: (403) 955-8818.
