- Manjit Kaur Lakhyan
Manjit, beloved wife of Kulbir Singh Lakhyan and mother of Harsimrit, Verneet and Jasneet, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at the age of 45. Manjit lost her two-year battle against leukemia. In her final moments, Manjit was surrounded by loving family and friends.
Manjit had an active spirit and outgoing personality. She will always be remembered for her strength, her perseverance, and conviction to her family and friends. She will also be remembered for her honesty, exceedingly generous and caring nature, and her priceless smile.
A Funeral Service will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 4th Street N.W., (within the valley of Queens Park Cemetery) on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at the Sikh Temple, Old Banff Coach Road and 81st Street S.W. Manjits family, as per one of her last wishes, will be participating in the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure.
