Obituary of Shirlee GOULD

Please share a memory of Shirlee to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
We are saddened to announce that Shirlee Gould passed away at the Rockyview General Hospital on October 2, 2010 at the age of 74 years. Born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan to Lillian (Hughes) and Mike Cojocar, she moved to Calgary in the early sixties from Assiniboia, via Regina. She met her beloved Ray at a Halloween party at the Bowness Golf Club which later became the Romeo and Juliet Inn. Shirlee was a vibrant wife, companion and mother, welcoming many friends, family, pets and neighbours into her warm home. Along with Ray, she enjoyed time in Banff, skiing with their children, and travels to the warm waters of Mexico and the Shuswap. She was also active in her community, volunteering with many organizations including The Junior League of Calgary and the 1988 Winter Olympics. She will no doubt be remembered by many for her expressions of love and pride in her children and grandchildren. She was a loving wife to the late Ray Gould, and proud mother of Andrea (Paul Valentine) and Jamie. She treasured her grandchildren Maggie, Ross and Hugh Valentine. Shirlee was a dear sister to Ron Cojocar (Claudia) and the late Bob Cojocar; and was a caring aunt to Alison, Michael and Jocelyn Cojocar and Jeff Campf. A Celebration of Life was held at Shirlees home on Thursday, October 14, 2010. The family would like to acknowledge and express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Rockyview General Hospital for their compassionate care over the past months.
