Obituary of Melba KERBY

Melba Kerby, of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the age of 76 years. Melba was a native Calgarian and worked for over thirty years in the oil industry. After she retired, Melba volunteered for the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, Vertigo Theatre and the Perrenould House. For the last two years she had worked extensively with the Native Calgarian Society book of memories project. Melba was a wonderful mother and friend who will be missed by all those who knew her. Melba is survived by her loving sons and daughter-in-law, Allan Kerby and Brian and Randye Kerby; brothers and sisters-in-law, Allan and Murial and Jim and Shirley Lindquist; sister and brother-in-law, Keryle and Duane Amidon as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Bill. Melbas wishes were that cremation take place with no Funeral services to be held. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers memorial tributes may be made directly to the charity of the donors choice.
