It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Laura (Beata) Kirkham at the age of 93 at her residence, in the DAL section at the Colonel Belcher Care Centre. Laura was a very caring person and loved spending time with her family playing cards at family gatherings. She also enjoyed spending time with her many friends at St. Andrews. Lauras family would like to thank all of the wonderful staff in the DAL section at the Colonel Belcher for their loving care of Laura over the past few years. Laura is lovingly remembered by her daughter Pat Schuler (Rick), grandson Brad, granddaughter Ashley (Jeff), sister Isabel Churcher and niece Claire Workman (Rick), Laura and Paul; as well as extended family Greg Schuler (Wendy), Maddie and Ben. Laura was predeceased by her husband George in 1985.
A Memorial Service was held on Friday, February 18, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Andrews Anglican Church (1611 St. Andrews Place N.W., Calgary, AB). If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to St. Andrews Anglican Church.
