Obituary of Grazyna MERCIK

Grace Mercik beloved wife of Bogdan Mercik and mother of Patricia and Sandra passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at the age of 53 years. Along with her beloved husband of thirty three years Bogdan, Grazynka is lovingly remembered and dearly missed by daughters: Patricia and Sandra; mother and father Maria and Kazimierz Pastuszka; brother Andrzej with wife Danuta; brother Grzegorz with wife Agnieszka; nephews: Marcin Pastuszka and Charlie Pastuszka; niece Beata Pastuszka; father-in-law Zdzislaw Mercik with family; mother-in-law Anna Mercik with family; sister-in-law Iza with family; aunt Alice Jacek; cousin Jola Teszka with family; as well as family and friends in Poland and Canada. Grace was born in Ostrowiec, Poland in 1957. She and Bogdan were married in 1977. They came to Canada in 1981 where they lived a fulfilled and happy life. Grace was proud to pursue her career at Enerplus, where she worked in the accounting department. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, camping and spoiling her adored puppy Mishka. Relatives and friends were invited to Prayers and Tributes at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME, 1708 16th Avenue N.W. (across from the North Hill Shopping Centre, Calgary) on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass was celebrated at Our Lady Queen of Peace (Polish) Catholic Church (2111 Uxbridge Drive N.W.) on Friday, November 19, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. A Graveside Service followed at Queens Park Cemetery.
