Obituary of Margaret RITCHIE

Margaret Dodd Ritchie passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2011, joining her beloved husband Lt. Col. G.F. Burk Ritchie, who predeceased her in 1996. Margaret was born into a farming family in Atwood, Perth County, Ontario. She met Burk when he was stationed in London, Ontario. When they married in December 1954, she took on the role of military wife. Wherever the family was posted, Margaret made a home and many lasting friendships. Margaret is survived by her loving daughter Karen and son-in-law Tom McCarthy of Calgary, son Fraser Ritchie of Drumheller, grandchildren Jessica and Matthew, and dear sister Eleanor Hartwick of Brantford, Ontario. A private family service was held at Queens Park Cemetery, Calgary.
