Obituary of Ralph Brian ROSS

Please share a memory of Ralph Brian to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
R.B. Ross, beloved husband of Ineke Ross, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at the Intercare Chinook Hospice, at the age of 72 years, with his wife at his side. R.B. was born in Winnipeg and completed high school at Gordon Bell. He worked in a variety of places, but most of his work was in the floorcraft industry. He left Winnipeg in the late 70s to begin working in the furniture department at The Bay in Calgary, where he made numerous life long friends. He was blessed with a lot of love from his family and friends. R.B. met Ineke dancing, and from there they made a lot of memories with their extensive travels together to Europe, Mexico and other parts of North America. Aside from the love for his wife and family, R.B.s second love was music. Much of his free time was made up of playing a variety of music with his friends and band mates. Left to mourn, is his wife Ineke of Calgary, and all of her family who became his family, including Todd (Vicki) and children Rane and Kendall Lovell of Fairbanks, Alaska; Darren (Alma) and children Devon, Regina, Miguel, Tnia, and Niko Lovell of Nanaimo, BC; David (Jackie) and son Austin Lovell of Calgary, and Bonny-Rae (Leigh) Watson of Calgary. Also in Calgary, R.B.s niece Joan (Brian) Blondahl and their children Aren and Lesley. Over the years Joanie became another daughter to R.B. Left to mourn in Winnipeg are his children Lynn (Robert) Summers, David Ross and Doug (Karen) Ross and children Megan and Sarah; and R.B.s brother Harry (Trudy) Ross. R.B. was predeceased by his father Jack M. Ross, mother Gwen Ross, and brother Jack Ross, all of Winnipeg. We will miss him, but we are grateful he left us to go to a better place peacefully. R.B., you were quite a character in life, and we already miss you terribly. Now you can let the peace of God comfort you till we meet again. A Memorial Service was held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 4th Street N.W., (within the valley of Queens Park Cemetery) on Monday, January 17, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 200, 119 14th Street N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 1Z6 Telephone: (403) 264-5549.
