Wally passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2011 at the age of 83 years. Wally was raised in Speers, Saskatchewan. She moved to Penticton, and later to Kamloops. In 1966, she moved to Calgary, and in 1993 retired from working in mens wear at Sears. She enjoyed volunteering at the Bowness Seniors Centre until her recent illness. Wally is survived by four sons: Paul (Marcia) of Kamloops, Don (Gloria) of St. Albert, Clare of Quadra Island, and Gordon of Calgary; two brothers: Hans (Jean) of Paradise Hill and Waldemar (Isabel) of Kelowna; five sisters: Elvera, Erika (Floyd), Katie (Ed), Ruth (Jim) and Violet (Mike) all of Saskatchewan; six grand-children; two great grand-children, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph, in 1997, and her brother, Harry. A Memorial Service was held at the Bowness Seniors Centre, 6422 35 Avenue N.W., on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to Bowness Seniors Centre, Telephone: (403) 286-4488.
