Obituary of Isabella C.M. STEVENSON

It is with great sadness that we announce that Dr. Isabel C. M. Stevenson passed away peacefully, and suddenly, on February 17, 2011. Isabel or Stevie was an anesthetist for thirty-odd years in Calgary; first at the Calgary General Hospital, then at the Grace Hospital. She was a pioneer in her field, as well as being one of the first single women in Canada to adopt three different children. Isabel touched many different people in her walk through this life. She was loved by many. Isabel is survived by her two daughters, Mary (Tim) and Margaret (Don); son Jeffery; grandchildren, Annemarie and Michael; and two great-granddaughters, Kelsey, Hannah and her mother Nikki. Her niece Anne was a huge part of her life as well. She was an amazing mother. She always said at least I tried. We love you Mom.
