Gordon Thompson, beloved husband of Myrna, loving father and grandfather passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at the age of 79 years. Gordon was born in Saskatchewan. For over 50 years he enjoyed touring across North America as a truck driver and on many occasions Myrna travelled with him. In his earlier days he was an outrider and bronco rider at the Stampede. He belonged to the IOOF for many years and was an active member of various offices. Through this he made lasting friendships. He also enjoyed travelling to Mazatlan, Mexico with family and friends. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. Gordon is survived by his loving wife Myrna, his son Cory (Rachel); his sister Faye (Mack); his three grandsons Rylan, Brodie and Kyle, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Ray Thompson and Gertrude Trenaman, brothers Harold and Allan, and twin sister Grace.
