Albert Tuckey, passed away at the Peter Lougheed Hospital on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at the age of 88 years. Len immigrated to Canada in 1948 from Scotland after World War 2, where he was with the Parachute Regiment in North Africa. He was very involved in the Amateur Radio Associations within Calgary and Canada. In 1964 he founded Foothills Battery and Marine and spent the next 40 years living his passion. Len will be remembered for his ability as a master mechanic, his love of life, music and family. Len leaves to mourn his sons, Colin (Diane), Ian, and Len (Lynn); daughter, Sheila Hamlin, three grandsons, one granddaughter and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Sidney (Nora), Peter (Barb); sisters, Dorothy (Herb) and Eileen. He is predeceased by his wife Dorothy, parents, and his brother Charlie. Memorial Services were held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 4th Street N.W., (within the valley of Queens Park Cemetery) on Thursday, October 21, 2010.
