Obituary of John WOYCENKO

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dad, John Woycenko on October 18, 2010 at the age of 86 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Karen and Dianne; son Rick (Laura); grandchildren Leah, Callie, Riley and Owen; sisters, Genovia Niznik and Betty White as well as family and friends. John was predeceased in 2006 by his wife of fifty-three years, Mary. John was born and raised in Southern Alberta but spent most of his adult life in Capitol Hill, in the home that he and Mary built. John graduated from S.A.I.T in 1947 and enjoyed playing varsity hockey. He worked as an electrician for Grover and Longmate, Larsen Electric and Baskill Electric and earned his Master Electrician designation before retiring in 1989. John and Mary enjoyed camping, golfing and travelling throughout North America and Europe. John enjoyed sharing the outdoors with his children and grandchildren and learned to downhill ski in his fifties. John bowled with friends and kept busy with his garden and projects at home.
