Darshan Singh Basra passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at the age of 87 years.
His death is a great loss for his family for he was a man of outstanding strength and fortitude. Those who knew him knew him for his kindness and adherence to principles.
Darshan is survived by his wife Harbans Kaur Basra, six children, fifteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 4 Street N.W., (within the valley of Queens Park Cemetery) on Saturday, December 24, 2011 at 11:00 a.m., followed by religious ceremony at the Dashmesh Cultural Centre, 135 Martindale Blvd. NE. A special thank you to the staff of Unit 42 at the Peter Lougheed Centre.
