Obituary of Howard BOWMAN

Mr. Howard Bowman, beloved husband of Mary, of Calgary, AB passed away at Foothills Medical Centre on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at the age of 83 years. Howard was born in St. Catharines, ON on July 15, 1930. His love of racing and tinkering with cars eventually led to his employment at General Motors, where he proudly worked for 23 years. He took early retirement in 1985 as the result of an accident. Howard was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on August 4, 1967 and will be remembered by family and friends as remaining faithful to the end. Left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife, Mary; and his six children, Nora (Jimmy) Johnson, Howard Jr. (Tina), Larry, Tom, Joan (Jim) Testa and Brad (Becky). He will also be lovingly remembered by his sister, Viola Munsie; brothers Alfred, Clifford and Wesley; grandchildren Michelle, Rachelle, Stephanie, Craig, Clint and Cameron; and great-grandchildren Meegan, Merick, Amelie, Tyler and Chloe. As well Howard will be remembered by many friends and extended family. Howard was predeceased by his first wife, Lorna; a son Russell; daughter-in-law Julie and her son Dylan; and a brother Russell. A Memorial Service will be held at the Midnapore Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (south hall), 270 Midpark Way S.E. Calgary, AB on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at Queen's Park Cemetery. Please forward condolences through www.hffs.com.
