Ken Thompson of Calgary passed away at the Rockyview Hospital on Friday, December 30, 2011 at the age of 97 years.
Ken, a native and proud Calgarian, was a devoted Eatonian (Eatons Department Store) for 57 years. He proudly served Canada in World War II.
He will be remembered by sons Brian (Jamie) and Neil (Vivian); daughter Elaine (Dale); six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren that are spread throughout Canada, as well as numerous friends. Ken was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Margaret.
Special thanks to Karen and Melinda, Kens daily care companions who improved his quality of life so much in the last few years. Thanks also to Susan for her weekly visits for so many years. The family appreciates the care and support that Southwood Care Centre and friends have shown.
At Kens request there will be no funeral service.
