Obituary of Glenn CAMERON

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Glenn Cameron on January 18, 2012 at the age of 77 years. Glenn, who took great pride in dressing stylish, practiced his trade as a barber eventually being employed by Marvel Beauty College where he spent many years teaching and was affectionately referred to by his students as “Mr. Glenn”, retiring in 1993. Glenn’s favorite times were golfing in his younger years, playing cards with his family, sports, teasing his grandchildren and driving regularly to the mountains for a weekend dinner with his cherished girlfriend of 40 odd years, Josephine (Jo) MacLean, who predeceased him on September 21, 2010. Glenn will be fondly and greatly missed by his daughter, Melody Henry, son-in-law, Mike Henry, grandchildren, Matthew Henry, Carly Henry, Cameron Henry and Brianna Henry including several other immediate and extended members (too numerous to mention individually) of Jo’s family as well as his brothers,Mel Cameron of Calgary, Ab. and Jim Cameron of Winnipeg, MB. Please join the family at 12:30 p.m., on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Queen’s Park Cemetary 3219 – 4th St. N. W., Calgary, Ab.) where Glenn’s ashes will be strewn over Jo MacLean’s gravesite. A small luncheon will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Community Hall, at 602 – 22 Avenue N. W., Calgary, Ab.
