Mrs. Wanda Wojewoda passed away peacefully at Brentwood Care Centre on February 1, 2012, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Poland and came to Calgary in 1964. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Walter and his wife Krystyna Rybicki; daughter Kathy and her husband Derek Batorowski; two stepsons, Ted Wojewoda and Edward Ryan; daughter-in-law Zofia Rybicki; grandchildren, Agata, Monika, Mike, Paul, Peter, Monika and Michelle; seven great-grandchildren; as well as numerous relatives and friends in Poland and Canada.
Wanda was predeceased by her two husbands, Wladyslaw Rybicki and Boleslaw Wojewoda, as well as her son Mieczyslaw Rybicki.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME, 1708 16th Avenue N.W. (across from the North Hill Shopping Centre, Calgary) on Monday, February 6, 2012 at 8:00 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at OUR LADY QUEEN of PEACE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2111 Uxbridge Dr. N.W. on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow in St. Josephs Section at Queens Park Cemetery.
