Obituary of Aletta MacDONALD

Mrs. Aletta Cornelia MacDonald, beloved wife of Bud of Calgary, passed away at Foothills Medical Centre on September 18, 2013 at the age of 81 years. Aletta was born as a Dutch citizen in Indonesia and moved back to Holland after the war. Subsequently she immigrated to Canada in 1955. After starting her family she began her Bachelor of Education and graduated from the University of Calgary at age 40. She went on to a successful teaching career with Calgary Public Board of Education. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Bud; her children Ken, Christine and their families; brother Jan; sisters Tineke, Janneke and their families; as well as sister-in-law Joyce MacDonald. She was predeceased by her twin sister Helen of England, sister Jacoba and brother Ben of Holland.
