One of my dearest experiences was having my family and children meet Aunt Lola and her brother, Uncle Charlie Mac, in Sherman, Texas. We got to hear the two tell stories of life growing up, and I am so grateul to have been there and for my kids to have experienced Lola's charm, wit and wisdom.

Upon meeting you for the first time, and being a little nervous as I'd heard so much about you, I asked if I had pronounced your last name correctly. You replied "Not to worry dear, no one gets it right - just call me Lola." Ever so gracious, you put me at ease and it was Lola from that moment on. I remember picking you up to go the airport with Ruth Ann for a trip to Texas. While I was putting your luggage in the back of the car, Ruth Ann was helping you in and I heard "Ruthie, you can give me a hand but you don't have to goose me!" We laughed all the way there. Rest well dear lady.

I had the great, great honor of working for the Rozsa Foundation and getting to spend time with Lola. After one of the Rozsa Award celebrations she called me the next day at the office just to tell me what a great job she thought I had done. I think about that phone call all the time - it meant so much to me. Lola truly noticed everyone and appreciated them for what they brought to the world. I thank God for what she brought to the world - may we all continue to carry on her grace.

To Mary, Ted, and Ruth Ann, I'm saddened and so sorry to hear about your mother's passing. Lola always put a smile on my face--she was always so warm and welcoming--and genuinely interested in how things were going for others. I'll think of her often and fondly--every time I go to the CPO, every time I head into the Rozsa Centre here on the campus of the University of Calgary, and especially, every 4th of July--it was the one time each year I would be sure to see her, and it won't be the same without her there. My thoughts to all of you as you celebrate her long and wonderful life.

Here at Michigan Tech, in the Upper Peninsula, we also find sorrow in Lola's passing. She and Ted provided another Rozsa Center for the performing arts, this one on the campus of the college Ted attended, and, like the Calgary one, it is the nicest venue for hundreds of miles. Many of our students also receive Rozsa scholarships, and their letters to Lola kept her involved in their progress, something she welcomed. We will all miss her.

Ruth Ann, Mary Rozsa de Coquet and Ted, Please accept Nola's and my deepest sympathy for the loss of your mother. Your mother was a great lady and icon. we have known her for close to 60 years. Your mother was the incentive for me to set up a scholarship at the Alberta Golf Association. Also on the 25th anniversary of the Doodlebug, we presented silver lockets and Lalique buffaloes to those who attended all tournaments to that time and your mother and father were recepients. Unfortunatly we will be unable to attend Lola's Memorial as we will be out of town. God Bless, Nola and Bob Rintoul

Really good, kind, caring, down-to-earth people. I am really sorry for your loss and I know how I felt when both my parents passed....an orphan. God speed to all of you.
