Wladyslawa Staszewski beloved wife of Witold Staszewski of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at the age of 87 years. Lala was born Poland and came to live in Montreal in 1950. In 1951 she married Witold and began their family with the birth of their first son in 1952 and second in 1956. She worked for many years as an LNA (licensed Nursing Assistant) before retiring to Calgary in 1994 to be closer to her family. Lala enjoyed travelling, gardening watching movies and especially to be in nature, often going for walks in Banff and Lake Louise. Most of all, family was very special to her, she was a loving and devoted, wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed. Wladyslawa is survived by her loving husband, Witold; sons, Richard and Andrew Staszewski; granddaughter, Jennifer Staszewski; grandson, Matthew Staszewski; brother, Stefan Padowicz as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family. Relatives and friends were invited to Prayers and Tributes at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME, 1708 – 16th Avenue N.W. (across from the North Hill Shopping Centre, Calgary) on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass was held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Polish Catholic Church, 2111 Uxbridge Drive NW. on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.hffs.com.
