Obituary of Rosalia FRIESEN

Rose Friesen of Calgary, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at the age of 89 years. Rose was born in Bayard, Saskatchewan to Henry and Katherine Wostradowski. She married Robert Friesen in 1939 and together they began their home in Kelowna, B.C. where they raised 9 children. Following the passing of her husband Robert, Rose came to live in Calgary with her daughter, Dolly. Rose loved to be with her family; she especially enjoyed playing games and was an avid fan of the Toronto Blue Jays. She will be dearly missed by all her family and many friends. Rose is survived by her nine loving children and their families as well as by her sister, Frieda Giesbrecht and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert in 1976.
