Obituary of Carl TETZLAFF

Please share a memory of Carl to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Carl Jacob Tetzlaff was born in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan and passed away at the age of 74 years in Calgary, Alberta. Carl will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 46 years, Barbara Tetzlaff, daughter Dana Tetzlaff, and grandchildren, Sage and Grayson Wells. Carl is survived by his sister, Donna Beitinger (Horst), brother Ed Tetzlaff (Alva), and a large extended family. Carl was raised on the family farm near Gull Lake where his love of animals, the natural world around him, and his courage of conviction, were fostered. Carl’s warm, gentle and generous nature could be felt by all. He was a kind man who was fiercely devoted to his family. In retirement Carl wrote a book he was proud to title, “Window on the Prairie” in which he describes the difficulties of life on the prairie during the depression years but also the joy of human relationships. Carl’s strength, tenacity, positivity, and humor powered him through his failing health in his last years. Carl will forever be thought of dearly by his family and friends.
