Mel beloved husband of Lesley, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2012, after a brief illness, at the age of 71 years.
Mel is survived by his loving wife Lesley and numerous nieces and nephews. Mel was part of Lesleys family for over 48 years, so he was like a brother to Lesleys younger brother Clair (Judy) Hayward, sisters; Kelly (Don) Schieman and Robin (Bob) Edgar. He will be sadly missed. He was predeceased by his parents Raymond and Mable and brother, David.
Mel retired from AGT/Telus in 1993 and enjoyed golf, fishing, reading, motorcycling and watching sports.
A Celebration of Life was held at The Deerfoot Inn and Casino (11500-35 St. S.E.) on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.hffs.com.
