Obituary of Catherine CHORNOBOY

Catherine (Kay) passed away peacefully in the Bethany Care Centre on Friday, June 1st, 2012 at the age of 94 years after a long illness.
Catherine was born on April 20, 1918 in the rural community of Elma, Manitoba. She was baptized and married to John Chornoboy of Fork River, Manitoba in 1952. The couple moved to Calgary in the 1960s. Catherine was an accomplished seamstress, enjoyed knitting, was an avid gardener and loved travelling as well as fishing.
She leaves to mourn her passing sister Angie, brothers-in-law Maurice (Dagney) and Harry (Jean); her nephews Michael, Gary, Greg, Harold, Douglas, Nicholas and Leslie; her nieces Rinde, Stephanie, Joanne, Hayley, Amy, Devynn and Morgan. She was predeceased by her loving husband John in 2008, and by her parents and one sister Mary.
A Memorial Service will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 4th Street N.W., (within the valley of Queens Park Cemetery) on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Please forward condolences through www.hffs.com.
