Obituary of Niranjan DHANJAL

It is with great sorrow we announce that Niranjan Singh Dhanjal of Calgary, Alberta quietly passed away from prolonged illness on July 18, 2012 at the age of 72 years.
He was born in Burj Hari Singh, India on February 15, 1940, and accomplished much in his life including moving his family from India to Calgary in the 1970s, starting his own appliance business, Atlas Appliances Ltd., and being an active member and leader in the community. Niranjan was beloved by family and friends.
He is survived by his spouse of 52 years Jaswant Kaur Dhanjal; children Kuldip Sohanpal (Gurdip), Gurminder Dhanjal (Dalvinder), Manjit Dhanjal, Jasminder Dhanjal (Kamal) and Ranjit Dhanjal-Sherif (Nabeel); and grandchildren Parminder, Ravinder, Alisha, Raveena, Akaash, Rohan, Praveen, Ria, Jovin and Adley.
Funeral Services will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 4th Street N.W., (within the valley of Queens Park Cemetery) Sunday, July 22, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. followed by Prayer Services at Dashmesh Culture Centre. Please forward condolences through www.hffs.com.
