Dear Al, Jeff, Nancy, Bruce, Colin, and Families, I was saddened to hear last weekend of the passing of your beloved Susan. Although I was only fourteen years old and three years her junior when last I saw her, I remember Susan fondly as the older (much older, to a fourteen-year-old) sister of my cousins, friends, and longtime playmates, Bruce and Colin Dunwoody. I recall the many childhood days spent in their company in their Macaulay Avenue home and backyard and the occasional family visits to the Dunwoody cottage in North Hero. I remember, too, Uncle Bill and Aunt Jean and the many kindnesses they showed me in the years that we were close. I sometimes regret that we kids had to grow up and, inevitably, I suppose, grow apart, but I think of Bill, Jean, Susan, Bruce, and Colin still and shall keep you all in my thoughts and in my prayers in the coming days.

Dear Al, Jeff, Nancy, and Family, It was with great sadness that I read the Calgary Herald obituary of your dear wife and mother. I wanted you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and with your family at this difficult time. Susan and I were born one month apart. Our mothers were best friends, and one of my earliest memories is playing with Susan as our mothers chatted over afternoon tea in Jean's St. Lambert backyard garden. We grew up in St. Lambert; and, we even visited each others' summer cottages in North Hero, Vermont. Susan's dad took us sailing for the first time of my life. My mother and Jean remained lifelong friends. My mother, Marion Sullivan, remembers Susan playing duets on the piano with her friend, Jennifer Hotchins. Please, convey our condolences to her brothers, Bruce and Colin, too. With Deepest Sympathy, Patricia Sullivan

I know heaven is a little brighter with her smile and the sound of her laugh. She will be very much missed by those whose lives she touched. Keeping you in prayer.
