Susan & David,
I always thought of your mom as my aunt. Our family enjoyed many good times in Calgary and when your family visited in San Diego. In the last years your mom would try and come as often as she could in the winter for a visit. She really enjoyed the San Diego Sunshine. Also the trips to Las Vegas. We enjoyed having her in our homes. We always had our Saturday gatherings down at my moms. Of course, we always had conversations of the good old days. She always talked of the both of you and your families. She was very proud of you both.
When your mom and my mom were together they had such a wonderful time. They were truly the best of friends. They would telephone each other often. Our moms last conversation with your mom a few days ago she said "if I could only walk I would come down and visit you". A true friendship that lasted over 60 years.
Our Sympathy to the both of you from your San Diego Family. Your fun loving mom will be missed.
