Thank you Charlie for everything you did for the Outriders. You were a genuine, kind, and thoughtful person. You always made coffee for the team on those cold nights at field practice and went out of your way to make us feel welcome. Thank you for the nice things you did, like set the jumbo tron to celebrate someone's birthday or give us a tour of the place you loved so much. Thank you for being you. I feel blessed to have known you.

Thank you Charlie. Many fond memories of You helping the Outriders, and the team to create imagery for their calendars I shot around the stadium in past years...so many behind the scenes, kind, quiet and thoughtful actions he always did. RIP Charlie - You will be missed. The (other) McMahon Stadium Guy.

To Charlie's Family,
I am deeply saddened to learn of Charlie's passing.
Though, I didn't know him well, I did have the opportunity to chat with him regularly at McMahon Stadium during football season over the past few years.
I always found Charlie to a very positive and engaging gentlemen that was a pleasure to be around.
I will miss Charlie and our chats.
With Sincere Sympathy,
Kent Warnock

Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to share a bit of Charlie that many may not be aware of. I got to know Charlie very well during my tenure at the University of Calgary. It was not uncommon for him to check up on me late at night when we were the only ones left at McMahon or perhaps greet me early in the am when I needed something. I have always said that a successful football program encompasses a vast number of roles big and small. Make no mistake about it ... Charlie Watson did have a role with the success of the Dinos during my time. He always went out of his way to make things as convenient as he could for the players and coaches. His support for the kids was obvious ... and we all new that he wanted nothing more than that elusive national championship for the Dinos. Despite his passion for the Dinos, Charlie still new that we had rules and procedures to follow. He was quick to remind us all of that ... and in that sense he again left his mark on the development of these young men.
To his immediate family, and his family at McMahon I want to offer my most sincere condolences. Charlie will be missed.
