Hazel was my cousins' Danny and Greg's Grandmother from the Turner side. I met her as a young girl in the Kootenays, when the Turner Jr. Family was building their cabin on Kootenay Lake. I will never forget Hazel's softness, kindness and gentleness. I have a wonderful memory of Hazel inviting my sister Heather and I to her home, and I loved it inside, it was decorated so beautifully with so much for a little girl to look at. I especially remember her flower pots and mini garden beds filled with Smurfs. It taught me that no matter your age or situation, you can still have fun with toys and trinkets. Hazel was kind in letting Heather and I touch and play with the Smurfs, And feeding us cookies, I remember really appreciating that very much. Although we were not her Granddaughters, she treated us with the same kindness and love as though we were that day. She was a kind spirit and spread the good vibes. I'm sorry for your loss, I'm sure that she will be dearly missed. All my condolences and love to your family.
