My sincere sympathy for your loss. I had the pleasure and honor to work with your wife/mother for many years at FMC. Marilee always brought a smile to my face and was a wonderful mentor to me as I started my nursing career. I will always remember that gentle smile and tiny wink I got from her when some of our shifts got out if control. Rest well Marilee.

I finally feel ready to give voice to my prayers here... My mother's quiet courage was revered by me for years. I have never admired a woman as I have her and now as I raise my own children, I strive to teach my own daughter, through living example, the value of hard work, personal strength and compassionate love for self and others. The connection my mom and I shared is unparalleled and I am so grateful that I can continue to feel her quiet presence around me whispering, "This too shall pass" and reminding me to make the most of each moment I have left in this life. Kinley misses you so much, Nana. She is only 7 but cherishes every memory she has of you and we talk about you often. Thank you for raising me as a strong, independent and loving woman. I miss you everyday.

It is a month today since our world lost this beautiful soul. I was another who had the pleasure of working with Marilee over many years and a few different units at the "Foot". She was a great nurse and teammate. Her sometimes tough exterior (until you knew her better!) held a huge and generous heart. I think of Marilee's family even more as we get closer to Christmas. It will be a tough one this year, but her happy spirit will always be with you I know.

We go back along time-80's and go on having many years together. She had a great sense of humor so important with nursing. I always felt extra confident when I knew Marilee was working. During the last few years Marilee and I were fortunate to have Marg Morck drive the "handi-bus" for us resulting in lots of laughter to Unit 82 and or Cochrane lunches. I am going to miss her. Dear George, Kelly and family, Kim and family, We're so sorry to hear of your loss. I will always treasure the beautiful memories I have of your wife and mother. We had wonderful times working together on unit 62 @ FMC. She was a mentor, care giver and an overall very efficient , caring nurse and a true friend to me. Wish I had connected more frequently when we parted ways in 1987 when Unit 62 closed. She will always be in my thoughts and prayers. I will light a candle for her at my St. Joseph's church tomorrow. May God give you strength to carry on during this very dark and difficult time in your lives. "Into each life some rain must fall; some days must be dark and dreary." There will be brighter days tomorrow. Sending you love, hugs and deepest sympathy. Sincerely, Delsie and Richard Sordi and family
