Carol was my best hiking companion. We decided we wanted to hike around the entire city. We met every Wednesday and did a section of trail then back to our cars. We did the entire city in eight days. On our last hike we walked from Fort Calgary to Beddington and were so tired Carol phoned her husband and asked him to pick us up and drive us back to our cars. I think of Carol often as I continue to hike The Bowmont Trail and Fish Creek Park. It has been two years since her passing and even longer since our last hike but I still miss her very much, she was the best.
