I met Gerry while teaching Law at Henry Wise Wood Senior High School. He was one of my Guest Speakers and the students really enjoyed his approach to learning.
After Retirement, I curled with Gerry at the Winter Club (Old-Timers' Curling)
Please accept my condolences at this time and note that he and his family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely
J Timothy Buehner

Condolences to your family. I feel very lucky to have had the Burdens In my life. So much to reminisce about from our growing up escapades to sharing family adventures. Definitely special memories that involved you all. Big hugs. Deb

My sincere condolences on Gerry's passing. Although I had not seen him for a few years, when I started working downtown in the eighties, I would see him on a semi regular basis (at one time we shared the same building). He always had the time to say hi and a few words. He was a true gentleman, which I think is a nice way to be remembered.

Gerry's obituary in this morning's Herald brought forth many wonderful memories of your Dad and of course Jean. We lived beside your family in Briar Hill and I used to babysit all of the children. Gerry also gave the toast to the bride at my wedding, so my memories are very happy ones indeed. We tried to have a Christmas lunch last year, but Gerry had other appointments and sadly it will not happen this year. My deepest condolences - I was fortunate to have both of your parents in my life and I can recall so many good times. The garden on Briar Crescent and the produce was another fond memory. He loved that garden but not the squirrels. Sincerely, Judy
