Obituary of Linda Jean RANDS

Linda Jean Rands, born May 3, 1944 in Galahad, Alberta passed away on Monday, May 1, 2017 at the Carewest Sarcee Hospice in Calgary at the age of 72 years.

Linda grew up on a farm just outside of Alliance.  She worked for Pan Canadian in Calgary for many years before retiring to pursue her passion in gardening. Linda spent time working with McKenzie Seeds and was an active member of her community.  Linda along with others spearheaded the Community Garden Project.     She spent many years teaching others how to garden and how to manage this project.  In addition to that, as an integral member of the Brentwood Community Garden Committee she also planned special events, such as the Harvest Potluck Dinners.

Linda will be lovingly missed by her sons Douglas Sutherland (Trudi) and Timothy (Beth) Sutherland; brother Harold (Carol); sisters Judy (Trevor) James and Kathleen (Fred) Manning.

She is predeceased by her soul mate Ian Hutcheon and her parents Bertha and Alfred.

A Private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
