Our heartfelt sympathy for the loss of Alec, a truly wonderful man who embraced life with such a joyful and generous spirit. Alec was such an important part of our early family life, many memories of the fun he introduced us to, such as pong, one of the first computer games and countless games of table tennis in the basement. I remember his graduation from University in the sixites and his cool apartment on the corner of Fort and Sherbrooke in downtown Montreal.
He always had open arms to welcome family throughout the years especially when Lee and Alec moved out West. We will miss our Alec in much the same way as we miss our own parents, as a part of our family!

Our hearts are heavy as we say good bye to Alec. As my siblings have said, Alec meant the world to us. Growing up in Montreal, Alec, and his brothers, helped make our childhood memories brighter, our sense of humour just a little sharper, and our characters stronger. The Neill boys will always hold a special place in our hearts. I swear I can hear that chuckle every time I think of Alec. I know there are open arms waiting for him, with perhaps a splash of Pernod. With all our love, you will be missed, but never forgotten.

The world has lost a wonderful soul. Alec was my cousin. I will never forget his wide smile and recognizable laugh. Through his relationship with my father, Alec taught me about friendship, loyalty and how not to take life too seriously. He will never know what he has meant to me. He will never be forgotten.

Lee, David, Neill and family:
I was greatly saddened to hear the news about Alec. I have very fond memories of the Neill brothers in Montreal (all of them) and then Little Britain/Scugog for some. Alec seemed to be a fixture at our house in Chateauguay back in the day--he lived with us for a short while and we used to remark that the hole in the tiled ceiling in the basement rec room was due to a tall morning stretch from Alec! I remember many competitions at or near the house involving Alec---chess, ping pong, tennis, fishing, darts, arm and "indian" wrestling and the like. Camping in the Gatineaus was particularly memorable. Lee and Alec were an inseparable couple; Lee my heart goes out to you for your loss.
After my Dad and Mom moved to Little Britain, Dad spent a lot of time with Alec making wine and going fishing--- As you know, Alec and Lee had a nice cottage on Lake Scugog and I think the wine making was the real attraction as they became quite good at it. My Dad would have been greatly despondent about his passing.
My sincere condolences. Lee, I know that you will greatly miss him. David, it must be tough to lose your twin and Neill your younger brother.
Yours,
Tom McKee

Our most heartfelt sympathy. Alec was a dear cousin. When I told my Mom (his Aunt Eva) that he died, she was greatly saddened and tearful. Alec was a favourite of hers. It was always special when he would visit from the west.
In his memory Jan and I are planting a tree in the Elmira Memorial Forest. It will take root near trees that have been placed in memory of other family members whom we miss.
