Obituary of Gertrud Waltraud Stroh

Trudy, beloved wife of Herbert Stroh of Calgary, Alberta, passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018 at the age of 79 years.

 

Trudy is survived by her loving husband of sixty-two years Herbert; her four children; Gitta (Harold), Gundi (Robert), Jane (David), and Jim (Leanne); eight grandchildren; Jenny, Ryan, Stephanie, Dennis, Casey, Kevin, Justin, and Megan; and four great grandchildren; Gabe and Quinn; Noomi and Jonas.

 

Trudy loved travelling home to Germany to reconnect with her family there, crocheting slippers for all of us, reading, baking, and drawing.

 

Mom will be dearly missed and forever loved by family and friends. We have all been so fortunate to have had her in our lives.

 

I think Mom would appreciate this poem:

 

As long as hearts remember

As long as hearts still care

We do not part with those we love

They’re with us everywhere.

 

As there will not be a funeral service, the family will have a private celebration of life after her interment at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
