My deepest condolences to the Smith and Manly families on the loss of your wonderful mother Barbara. The Lupus Society of Alberta has survived and prospered because of Barb’s many decades of devoted service as a member and casino manager. Barb taught me so much about volunteerism and fund raising and was always a delight to be with, energetic, devoted and sharp witted. Barb recruited family and friends to support the Lupus Society of Alberta and the LSA will always remember her and you all for your contributions to our work. Barb was a force who focussed on improving the lives of others less fortunate and she spread that positive energy. Barb will be dearly missed but she taught us well and her legacy continues.
Barb will be missed by the family and friends. We met Barb when we joined the Lupus Society. You were always met with her big smile. We have worked casino with Barb and it didn't seem like work but more of meeting old friends and making new ones.
