The only time I met Dick was in 1989, at the Babott boys weekend at the cabin north of Edgewater. I think it was Spur Valley. I sampled first hand that great potato salad. Dick was a really nice guy. I have always remembered Dick, because every time I have made French Toast, since that weekend, I have added Dark Rum instead of Vanilla Extract. Just like Dick made it for us.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Dick's passing. He's been a wonderful friend and neighbour for the past 17 years, always willing to help and offer advice. I appreciated his wit and sense of humour whenever we chatted and the many times he would help me deal with the wildlife that wandered into our yards. Dick will be missed by anyone who knew him.

Donna I was deeply saddened to learn of Dick's passing. What can one say at a time like this other then "Condolences". He was a wonderful man, always kind, always willing to help. I have memories of him painting our half-bath when Rick was travelling so much; being the "door security" for YDU & EKO performances, working those numerous bingos. He will be sorely missed by not only you and your family but by everyone who knew him. May that give you some comfort in the future.
