Obituary of Robert McBride POGUE

Robert McBride Pogue, beloved husband of Mary Jane Pogue (nee McKay) of Calgary, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2019 at the age of 82 years.

Robert will be lovingly remembered as a dedicated family man, loyal friend, businessman, and an active member of his community. He was a proud member and volunteer with the Downtown Rotary Club, Probus, The Calgary Masonic Lodge, and a volunteer with the Calgary Stampede and Heritage Park.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Mary Jane; daughter Stephanie (Cal) Lorencz; son Gordon (Samantha) Pogue; as well as grandchildren Nathaniel and Isabel.

A Celebration of Life will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 – 4th Street NW, (within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Monday, July 29, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. A gathering immediately afterward will be held at the Glencoe Golf and Country Club, 31002 Elbow River Drive SW, where friends are encouraged to share a story and raise a glass.
