Obituary of Peter Scott

Peter, beloved husband of the Late Ann Scott (nee Ellinson) of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at the age of 86 years.

Peter was born in Calgary, Alberta on May 10, 1933 and grew up in Victoria Park. He attended Haultain School and graduated from Western Canada High School in 1952.

Peter met Ann in 1949 and they were married in 1954. Peter loved to spend time with his four children, eleven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, all of whom he was very proud and loved tremendously.

He was very active, continuing to golf, skate, and work out. After Ann’s passing, Peter made his family very proud by maintaining his house and yard in Varsity Acres, in which he had lived since 1966. Peter also enjoyed attending his coffee groups and catching up with all his friends.

Peter is survived by his daughter Cheryl (Brad), son Greg (Shirley), son Todd (Karen), and daughter Georgia (Greg); his grandchildren, Kent, Trevor, Dale, Brian, Ailie, Nicole, Kimberly, Rory, Ryan, Kevin, and Brett; great-grandchildren, Payton and Landon.  Peter is also survived by his younger sister Mary of Portland, Oregon.

Peter was predeceased by his loving wife, Ann.

A Celebration of Peter’s Life will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 – 4^th Street NW, (within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the funeral home.
