Obituary of Richard George Christensen

Our dearly beloved husband, father and "Poppy" passed away at home on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 in Calgary, AB.

 

Rick was married to the love of his life, Karen (nee Miller) for 50 wonderful years. Together they lovingly raised two daughters. Everything he did was guided by his love and devotion to his family. Rick was born in Winnipeg and moved to Calgary at a young age. He enjoyed curling and coaching his children’s sports teams. He had a terrific career in HR with A&S Gas Co. Ltd. and Agrium. Rick loved to travel and researched and planned so many wonderful trips. We will always remember his great smile and hilarious dad jokes. He will be deeply missed, we love him so.

 

Rick is survived by his loving wife Karen, daughters Dayna (Sean) Tyson and Jillian (Nathan) Shouldice, his four dear grandchildren Hannah, Sophie, Stella and Henry, his two sisters Judi (John) Jackson and Nancy (Gary) Laforet, brother-in-law Wayne (Lorna) Miller, sister-in-law Carol MacKay as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
