Doug, Sharon, Rod and Family: We are so sorry to hear of Dear Aunty Laura’s passing! I always remember the many exciting adventures that we would go on with Aunty Laura and our Nan (Lil) when Sheila and I were young. Aunty Laura has always been a big part of our best childhood memories. Every Christmas we remember her delicious Christmas Poinsettia cookies. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. Heaven has a new Angel! With loving memories, Cheryl Teszner (Ray) and Lorraine Pedersen (Lonsdale).

She was a real good Auntie
She was there to help a number of times
It was fun talking with her on the phone many times
She had an outlook different than most others
She is in a better place now

Tracy, Trudi and family,
So sorry to hear about Auntie Laura. I considered her my Auntie too. She was so full of love for anyone.
She was always so much fun to be around at the family reunions and chat with her. More energy than the "Energize Bunny".
A special lady to be sure and she will be missed.

Laura was an amazing Aunty. She was such a mainstay of the family. She kept in touch with everyone and always had a cookie and a coffee on offer when visiting. She hosted countless family get togethers including grandma and grandpas 50th anniversary in her basement. I have such fond memories of her visiting us every summer. Her and my mom and aunty Chris or aunty Lil playing triominos at the kitchen table and laughing until late into the night. I would often accompany her and my mom on their many road trips including a drive to Los Angeles to visit Millie/Royce. She was much loved by all and she will be missed. Laurie

Doug, Sharon and family, we are so sorry to hear about Laura. May your lifetime of memories help you celebrate her as you say goodbye. Laura was such an integral part of your lives, which makes all sides very lucky. One of Bart's memories is going over to play with Doug and Laura would make Campbell's Tomato Soup Cake which was really great, and would laugh with them while they ate it! It was really fun to listen to her stories of working at the Calgary Distilleries and she spilled the beans about the different brands of alcohol, with varying prices, that were really from the same line, just the bottles were switched. So much fun to get the inside scoop. She was so easy to chat with and I was impressed that rather than just sit at home, she would join up with travel groups. I always thought that the women she got partnered with were really lucky as she seemed so easy to get along with. Sending you love Bart and Jill Nickel.
