Volker Dr. Meywald posted a condolence
I did it My Way singen". So besonders und liebenswert war er für uns. Dr. Volker Meywald aus Arolsen, Deutschland TRANSLATION - SORRY for my English: Audrey and Al, between the end of the 70's until the early 80s they were often in Germany to establish the business of special measuring equipment for oil exploration industry. We met them as friendly people who loved life and knew how to live. One highlight of our personal relationship was my business visit in Calgary in 1984, where I was invited to attend the beautiful wedding of his daughter Stevie. Audrey and Al were particularly interested in the history of our village: The local festival of our village, which is celebrated only once every 7 years (2014 again), goes back to an incident from 1502. They pursued it enthusiastically. If I could, I would like to sing "I did it My Way" for his goodbye. So special and adorable he was for us. Dr. Volker Meywald from Arolsen, Germany.

Audrey and family we have so many fond memories of Al, he was such a determined and fast learner when he set out to become a 'techie'. he is an example we still use quite often to let others know not to be afraid and you will learn all you need to with patience and time. His smile, laugh and hospitality were so memorable and he will be missed.

Aunt Audrey and Family, Al was one of a kind, a typical Fieger--and we're happy to celebrate that. We enjoyed his company and looked forward to an occasion to talk with him whether about business, golf, or even politics. We could always count on Uncle Al for an opinion, for a big hug, and for taking a genuine interest in our lives. He was very proud of his family and could tell us many stories about grandchildren and great grandchildren. We will indeed miss him. Sending your family much love. Lee and Lucelle Prindle

Aunt Audrey and Family, Uncle Al was such a special person who walked his own path. His humour and quick wit have given me some precious memories and I always felt a wonderful kinship with him. He and Louise developed a close relationship that started 30 years ago with the sharing of a few beer in Med Hat one Sunday while they were supposed to be looking after all the little children while the rest of us were in church! His influence and uniqueness spread far beyond his immediate family. We will miss Uncle Al and remember him fondly for the love, support and laughter he always shared with us. Our thoughts and love are with you during this time. Love from Carolyn and Louise

Audrey and Family: We were very saddened to hear of Al's passing. It was a great privilege to have known Al as a loyal customer and as a friend. His passion for computers is what brought us together and we shall miss his phone calls and visits to our store where he would always refer to you as his lovely bride. He was a very proud and devoted family man. He will be missed. Our sincere condolences, Rae, Carol, and Paul Bolduc and the staff of Computer Central, Medicine Hat.
