Obituary of Richard Ronald Hicks

The family of Richard, beloved husband of the late Arlene Hicks (nee Causton), sadly announce his passing on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at the age of 85 years.

Richard was born in Calgary on April 6, 1936 and lived in Calgary his whole life. Richard married his high school sweetheart Arlene and together they had a son David and daughter, Cathy and one precious granddaughter Tara.  

                                                                       

He was a Master Electrician and owned and operated Barker Electric in Calgary with Arlene until they retired.

 

Richard loved the outdoor life, skiing, fishing, camping and travel.

Richard and Arlene also enjoyed the time they spent at both cabins, one at Windermere and then Sylvan Lake.

Richard is survived by his son David; daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Dale Brand; granddaughter Tara Brand; his brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Anne Hicks; and numerous loving extended family and friends.
