The Fortinski Family: Although we didn't know Mr. Fortinski well, the characteristic that stands out in our memory is his dignity. We gained the utmost admiration for his strength in surviving World War II Poland and bringing his family to a new life in Alberta. We remember his volunteer work with the Polish Combatants Association where he quietly helped others to adjust to the special challenges of their new lives in a foreign country. May your memories of his warmth sustain you in your time of sorrow! Cal and Joan Hoffman

My heart is heavy with the passing of a great man, who I fondly remember as my (past) father-in-law. A soft-spoken man, with a very big heart. He will be missed!! Sincere condolences to the family!
