In 2015 we were in awe when Jim caught a 23 lb Gerrard rainbow trout on Kootenay Lake and the SOB wasn't even trying.
It was day one of our annual fishing trip, Jim offered encouragement the first few days but come day four, the catcalls came rushing in.

Auntie Margaret, Marnie and family, and Guss family members, please accept our deepest condolences in the passing of Uncle Jim. Our fondest memories of Uncle Jim were his kindness, constant smile, infectious laugh, and ability to bring a party atmosphere to every gathering. Although life circumstances and family moves have meant we haven't seen Uncle Jim or Auntie Margaret in many years, we do have fond memories of family get togethers.
Sending heartfelt sympathy and hugs to you all,
Melinda and Neil Henry

So very sorry for your loss. Big Jim was such a great guy. I am so fortunate that I got a chance to know this man and his wife Margaret, and so many others because of him. He called me one of his adopted daughters. I think he had many of us. LOL. He will be missed by so many, including me. The world won’t be the same without him. Heaven has him now and I’m sure he’s already stirring things up, up there.
Rest In Peace Jim Guss

We express our deepest sympathy to Margaret and the GUSS family for the loss of a husband, father, grandpa and friend to many. .Big Jim was the life of a party. When you met him you never forgot him and we met him in Mexico at their winter home which he loved very much. Keep all your memories in your heart and may God give you the strength and courage to carry on without his presence as he watches over from above. A life taken too young so rest in peace BIG JIM.
