Obituary of Cherry Bowhay

1952 – 2022

 

Cherry Bowhay passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at the age of 70. She will be lovingly remembered by her partner Gilman, sister Sandy (Peter), and nephews, Nicholas and Elliott. She was predeceased by her parents, Lloyd and Amy.

 

Cherry was born in Calgary, grew up in Edmonton, and lived in Ottawa, Montreal, and Vancouver before returning to Calgary. She graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and from the University of British Columbia with a Master’s in psychology. She worked as a researcher, editor, and legal assistant.

 

Cherry was an avid reader, a movie buff, an artist, and a gardener, but most of all she will be remembered as a kind and gentle spirit who loved all creatures.
