Our family first encountered Don and son Mike in 1984 when our oldest son started playing community soccer with Mike in Silver Springs. Don was just one of the regular dads of the day at that time. Little did we know that our family connection would continue later when Cowboys football captured the attention of our youngest son. Don was a whirlwind of organization for the Cowboy FC managing practice fields, equipment supply and ambassador to many families of the players. Needless to say, he was in front row of the organizing of an amateur football league in Calgary to support many players as they transitioned into High School football. We shared many laughs on the sidelines analyzing players and coaches alike. Our family is grateful and thankful to Don and his family for sharing so many wonderful achievements of the Cowboys. - Howard, Charlotte and family.

I remember Don, first as a supportive parent coming with his wife Pat to watch both Mark and Mike play for the Cowboys. After their playing days, Don never left. I so appreciated his calming leadership and the many hours, days and years he gave to the Cowboys. He supported more than the Cowboys… he gave of his time to help me start another CBFA program and continued to support all level of football. I have so many memories of Don and the entire family. I am grateful to have shared some time. Such a good man ❤️

Don was such an amazing man, husband, father and grandfather, he enjoyed life and gave back so much to the community. Everyone knew and loved Don he is a man we will never forget. We are glad to say we were happy to be able to have Don in our life. Our thoughts are with his family that they will be able to hold on to all those special memories.
